When nutrition backfires:
"I don't want protein!" - Anna, on not eating her meat
Anna and I were in Sharper Image Friday. She was enjoying looking at the inflatable fishie raft hanging from the ceiling until some 13-year old fired up the 2-foot high talking robot. She screamed and started to run. Since then we've had multiple "robot following me" sightings...
We drove 7 1/2 hours to Rochester yesterday. Jack threw up in his car seat. Yikes.
Jack really enjoys playing "Soooooo big". He is even starting to raise his arms when I do. This is stressing Anna out. She knows that she is a "big girl" and Jack and Thomas are babies (potty training tactic). So whenever I tell Jack he is "so big" Anna says "He's not! He's a baby!".

Drawing Faces With Pupils
Today at dinner I was trying to get her to finish her cheese and she told me to "focus on your food". Hmmmn.
Now where would she have heard something like that?
Finally, A asked me to pick her up today and I told her I'd pick her up and give her a quick kiss, but I couldn't carry her because my back was hurting. I picked her up and gave her a kiss and she started to pat my back. She told me she was rubbing my back so it would feel better :)
The boys went to their first music class today. T was flapping his arms like a wild man. J was doing his pelvic bounce thing. Looking forward to the next one...

Banana Bread
And lots of it. A and I were cooking today. And she's still afraid of the mixer.
J took his anger out on T today by using T's ear to try to pull himself up. T was blocking the drum. A is now very into "teamwork". Her idea of teamwork is currently "I'll tell you what to do, and you do it."

It's A Hot One
The boys have been having a fantastic time with bed sheets. T loves to flap it up and down, and he and J have gotten into some good tug-of-wars. The last 2 days are the first time I've seen them really start "working together" to accomplish things. The go out on their little "missions" together to pull the cover off daddy's speakers or get one of the kitchen drawers open. They are definitely communicating--they look at each other, get excited, then follow one another. They are both crawling on their stomachs, T can manage a bit of "traditional" crawling as well. J wants to stand and tries to pull up on everything.

A is making up words at a shocking pace. Latest: persidy, pembah, piepah, compidis. She is currently diapering all of the Sesame Street animals every morning. Her favorite color is purple. She refuses to be call "Little Miss Pink" anymore. (We may have wardrobe issues) She is really enjoying Harold and the Purple Crayon books.

The Plan
"Who's writing all these things down?"
To answer Steve's Gwammy: no one thus far, really. This is an effort to change that. Hopefully, I'll log in for a few minutes each night and let you know what the kids are up to and upload a few photos. Political discourse and celebrity gossip will be kept to a minimum :)
This is all about...
Here we go!
